Just Cross Stitch Magazine

Do you stitch from magazines??  Which are your favorites?  Why do you like them?  Do you read your magazine cover to cover?  Well,  I subscribe to 3 needlework magazines: Just Cross Stitch, Cross Stitch and Needlework and Sampler and Antique Needlework.  I love them all for different reasons but obviously because they are cross stitch magazines. I fell in love with the Menorah Pattern in Just Cross Stitch and had to stitch it.  It is designed by Sharon Pope.  I stitched it on PTP Gothic fabric with the recommended DMC fibers.  Sorry for the bad pick but I took a quick snap before it heads to the framers.
Alot of the magazines give you finishing instructions, great charts, interviews with designers and some history about different types of needlework.  If you haven't browsed one of these publications I highly recommend it.  Most shops carry them and I have found some at Barnes and Nobles and now Target even carries Just Cross Stitch :)

Thank you all for stopping by and visiting my blog.  Happy Stitching!

Beautiful! :)

I love the fabric, it really helps the gold to stand out. So very lovely. :)

I get Just Cross Stitch, too...I am currently stitching the red heart in the current issue for V-Day. I also love the other magazine you mentioned Cross Stitch and Needlework, I love that it includes needlepoint.

Happy Stitching. :)

Beautiful Nataly! The only one I get Is Just cross stitch and that is because I love the annual ornament issue.

It's beautiful! I love the fabric and the colours stand out so nicely on it <3 I buy regularly the local cross stitvh magazine, and when I have the chance, I buy issues of foreign ones too. It's curious I saw your post, because right now I'm going through my magazine collection. I tend to stitch mostly small projects from the magazines and neglect the big charts they offer. So I decided to make a list of the big ones I really want to stitch :)

That is one lovely piece Nataly! Nicely done! I used to get the ornament issue of JCS, but stopped that. I have too many charts as it is--trying to be frugal. Ha! We shall see how that goes! Hugs!

I am excited to hear you can find them at Target now. Barnes and Noble carries some overseas ones that are different too. I subscribe to Cross Stitch and Needlework but have yet to stitch anything out of it. Love the fabric color you used on the Menorah.

Beautiful needlework, Nataly. I also love X-stitch mags. In addition to the ones you listed, I subscribe to the UK's World of Cross Stitching as well as Cross Stitch Gold. Gorgeous glossy publications with fabulous charts.

I have a lot of magazines, mainly older ones but I rarely ever stitched anything from them. Until two years ago when I joined the Crazy January Challenge. I was browsing through my pattern and als through many of my magazines. And I found real treasures. Since then I've been stitching a nice amount of patterns found in magazines. And I love that.
The Menorah you stitched looks gorgeous. I always see patterns by Sharon Pope in magazines.

I love cross stitch magazines, but they are rather expensive here in the UK. I get one occassionally as a treat. It's why I love blogging, you can read about fellow stitcher's and their work and be inspired, free of charge!
Beautiful stitching.
