Ghoul Tidings . . . Halloween Stitches

As summer nears its end I get into the autumn stitching mood.  I am not typically a seasonal stitcher are you??  This year JCS Halloween Book had some lovely samplers to stitch up and I couldn't resist Plum Street Samplers Ghoul Tidings.  I pulled threads and fabric immediately upon receiving my book and didn't stop stitching it until it was complete.  I love the kitties and the witch is darling.  How does Paulette make a witch look cute I will never know.

Don't you love her fashionable attire??  I stitched it on 32ct Woo-steria from R&R ( a stash find) and GAST as charted. Off to the framers she will go and I will have plenty of time to display her.

And my reward for finishing a piece of course is a new start.  Really I should get back to those WIPs but when I saw my stitching friend Deborah with this one I had to stitch it!  It is Drawn Thread's Autumn Jumble.  I hope to put some x's in tonight but life always seems to get in the way.  We flew from East Coast to West Coast for 3 days and I am in a funk.  I guess they call it jet lag but I seriously can not get out of my own way.  I hope to right the cart by the weekend but I am working long days this weekend.  Any suggestions from anyone on how to recover from jet lag would seriously be appreciated.  Thank you all for visiting and giving me encouragement and stitching ideas.  I truly enjoy hearing from you and visiting the blogs of so many talented stitchers.
Happy Stitching!

Oh, I love that Halloween piece! I'm like you, not really into seasonal stitching though I always admire others' Halloween stitching etc. This piece I must stitch. Congrats on the finish.

That was one of my favorites too. Yours is just lovely. I do a lot of seasonal stitching - I am in full on autumn mode right now.

I don't have the new Halloween issue yet and wasn't sure if I should buy it. But I can see why you had to stitch this project immediately. And I have to stitch it, too. Thanks for enabling, lol. It's just adorable. Have fun with your new project.

I love your PSS finish. This is one of my favorites out of the magazine.
The DT fall piece is perfect too. I am not a seasonal stitcher but would like to be :) I need more Halloween/4th of July pieces.
I can't wait to see the DT piece stitched. Have a lovely weekend.

Beautiful stitching! I love the witch. :D What I found that works well for jet lag is: do not take naps! Naps are your enemy. Just stay up until it's your normal bedtime, and by then hopefully you'll have tired yourself out and can start getting back to normal. We took a trip to the States and then back to Dubai earlier this year, and had to be at work the next day. Torture. Good luck!

Oh my goodness, your finish is so stinking cute! I went straight to Wal-Mart and bought a copy of the magazine. There are several great designs in this issue. Thanks for sharing, I don't usually buy magazines, but I do love to stitch seasonal things.
So sorry about your jet lag. My husband fly's coast to coast every week, and he says Melatonin helps with the jet lag. Good luck, it's no fun!
Have a great week. I can't wait to see some stitching on The Drawn Thread piece.

Ghoul Tidings is one of my favorites from the Halloween issue (Matilda Hornbuckle is my other favorite). I haven't seen the Drawn Thread pattern before - very pretty design!

I hope you feel better soon. Rest is the only thing I can think of.
