Stacy Nash Thread Keep

No New Year's Resolutions for me.  I don't like the pressure.  I can say that I am motivated to work on my WIPs and UFOs this year.  I would like to have more of my stitched pieces displayed in my home.  I shared this piece when it was a WIP but finished the stitching some time ago.  It is a Stacy Nash piece from the Dyeing to Stitch Retreat.  I have become a huge fan of prim design lately and love most of Stacy's Designs.  I also love that her finishing is easy peasey.  I was able to finish this into the thread keep without any difficulty.  That's tough for a Type "A" personality as we tend to be perfectionists. I am hoping to work on more of her designs this year.

My New Year's start was somewhat of a surprise for me.  My husband recently hung all of my needlework on one wall in my home office and as I was admiring the few pieces that I do have framed I realized that I had stitched Spring Snapperland and Autumn Snapperland by Bent Creek.  Unfortunately, Summer and Winter Snapperland are resting in the Stash tomb.  So I went Stash shopping, found the chart, fibers, fabric and necessary button pack.  Off I went to my stitching chair and started plugging away.  I will hopefully have a pic to share soon.  After baking and cooking all afternoon I am off to the nest....We will be snowed in for a bit as we are in the midst of a Blizzard warning.  AAAhhhhh lovely January in New England.  Stay safe and Happy Stitching!

Such a sweet finish!! No plans here either, just to try and stitch a little every day ~ even if only for a few minutes....

Love it! The Stash Tomb. I hope to sprend part of this weekend sorting and shopping in my stash tomb to line up my projects for the year. Stay safe in the snow. We are at 7 inches so far here in south Jersey...maybe no work today and I 'shop' today.

I have a Stash Room (it rhymes!)...it is shared with Christmas decorations, and genealogy. But it works for me! I have bits and pieces here and there around the house too... it surely does accumulate. I have not yet dove into my stash to see what 2014 might inspire. Maybe this weekend...I like the SN piece and how you finished it! Cute!
