I have been too busy to post so I will divide this into two posts. After a very busy weekend, I have lots of news. I want to start with a huge thank you to Fiona at Peaceful Threads for a wonderful package full of goodies. She had a giveaway to celebrate 100 followers and I was the very lucky winner. Here is a pic of all the loot.
Thanks soooo much Fiona!!
Next order of business is the long awaited Midnight Watch from Blackbird designs. I had started this last year and didn't finish it before Halloween so when I saw a few posts in blogland I decided to pick it back up. It may not seem it but there is a ton of stitching in this one. It took awhile but I love the results.

Lastly, I am posting my next project. My friend Carol and I decided to do BBD Peacock Pinkeep as a SAL. I kitted this up with required threads and fabric but I am considering changing the threads colors. I was thinking blue and green rather than the red and green! Let me know what you think! I need to start this soon because Carol already has the alphabet band done. She is a speedy stitcher. I'm sure I won't be able to keep up.
Join me tomorrow for flea market finds and a kitten update. I want to thank all of you who leave comments. I look forward to your thoughts and ideas. Happy Stitching!

First, I say YES to the blue and green! The peacock theme just begs for it!
Congrats on the win- what a haul you received! Too fun. :)
And I love Midnight Watch. Wonderful finish!
I love pink but I think blue would be a really nice choice for that pattern.
I hope to be back to stitching after the fair is over...I miss it already.
Great stitching goodies!!!
I like both sets of colors - but I really love the thought of the blue/green!
Congratulations on your beautiful finish! What a wonderful giveaway you won - so kind Fiona to give away all that. I have seen this Peacock piece and admired it and always thought if I stitched it I would do it in a turquoisy blue color so I think your idea of changing it up is great.
You got some great stuff in the giveaway. I love Midnight Watch and the new colors for the pinkeep.
Fabulous giveaway package from Fiona..wow!
I love your Midnight Watch and finished with time to spare for Halloween! As far as the Peacock piece, I like both sets of colors. I say make it your own!
Amazing giveaway win~now I'm glad to feel that I'm not hogging all the luck! ;)
Midnight watch is a beautiful piece...but with a herculean amount of stitching!
As for the peacock project, I'd go with some prim purple and brown, or the green and brown. Blue and green is also a good choice. Really, I'd almost say anything but the recommended red.
Lucky you, what a great prize!
I love your Midnight Watch, I have always liked this design.

Your finish is looks great! The stash yummy. And I agree with everyone else -- gotta love your color change!

That is a really gorgeous finish and what a lovely giveaway prize. On the subject of threads, I agree that blue and green would be perfect for the peacock. Whatever you choose, I hope you enjoy stitching it!
I like the blue/green too but then those are colours that I love together. Love your BBD finish, it looks wonderful! What a fantastic package of goodies you received from Fiona - congrats on winning her giveaway!
Whoo Hoo on the giveaway you won :)
AND let me congratulate you on your gorgeous finish of the BBD piece. That is stunning!
I am such a blue lover that I would always choose blue over pink (think it's because of all of my sons, Nataly, so you are probably the same way!!)...
Your Midnight Watch is just wonderful--and what a lovely giveaway win from Fiona!
Looking forward to watching your Peacock Pinkeep progress :)
I love the Midnight Watch and have fantasized over it for quite a while. It is truly beautiful, love the fall colors.
I like the blue and green. they look more like peacock colors. Looking forward to seeing your progress when you decide.
Midnight Watch turned out great!!!! And I think blue and green will be fine for that project. It's sometimes nice to see different floss combinations than what the designer originally picked out.
What a lovely package from Fiona!
Congratulations on finishing Midnight Watch. It looks fantastic!
I love it!!!!! It is truly gorgeous!
Oh, btw, I love your header. Very pretty.
