I've finished stitching these, now what?

Today was a beautifully sunny day and I spent time doing some tidying up.  Once that was out of the way, I ironed and photographed some recent finishes.  Finished stitching that is!!  I am not quite sure what to do with them.  I thought pillows or boxes, but maybe they should be frames??  So until I decide I thought I would share the stitching part.  The first is Autumn in New York by Primrose Needleworks.  I used the recoommended thread and stitched it on 36ct Sandcastle.

Next is a design by Plum Street titled Gobble.  My stitching group friend Deborah did this one a month or so ago and I just couldn't resist.  That Turkey is just too cute!!  I stitched it on 32 ct Antique Ivory using DMC thread.
The next is A Sampler Girl design titled Quaker Boo.  I stitched it on Dirty Belfast 32ct and used DMC threads.  It was a quick stitch and I hope to make this into a small pillow.
Lastly is my latest LHN Monthly Sampler finish.  I just got the pattern in the mail on Monday Nov 8th (even though it was an autoship) and thankfully it worked up quickly.  This will be stretched to the size of the others for my pop-in frame.

I am currently working on December LHN Monthly.  I want to thank everyone for reading my blog and leaving your wonderful comments.  I love all of the new stitchy friends I have made in blog land and love sharing my work and seeing yours.  Happy Stitching!!

Great finishes Nataly! I see the NY one in a frame and the Gobble as a cube. :o) They will look fabulous whatever you decide.

That is so funny, Nataly--Deborah inspired me to buy Gobble, too, after seeing her finish! Of course, have I even started it yet? No--I was too busy finishing PS Thanksgiving...

All of your finishes are wonderful--the NY is new to me and looks like it was such fun to stitch...

Hope your weekend is going well :)

I think seasonal stitches are best made up into flatfolds. Pillows are easily tossed aside and not give "credit" to their beauty unless they are small. Larger ones...I tend to throw out of the way, thus I don't make large pillows for myself. But Flatfolds, almost like a framed peice, can be easily sat anywhere, put them up and when the season is done, easily folded down flat to store. A perfect solution, in my opinion :)

You needles must be smoking! You've completed some really lovely pieces. Gobble has always been a favourite of mine. I can't wait to see what you decide for these.

Oh wow! You weren't kidding about finishes! Autumn in NY is sweet. I don't remember that pattern but it does have NY all over it :o)

I adore your turkey. I've seen this one stitched up many times and might have to cave too. LOL!

They all look fantastic. Well done you for finishing off so many.
I always find it hard to know what to do with a finished piece of embroidery/cross stitch - even though I love the things I've stitched, I don't necessarily want to see them all hanging on my walls. Cushions are a good idea. I've made some of my smaller ones into Lavender Pouches/Bags.

Beautiful finishes. I plan on stitching that Autumn in NY soon. I have some plans for finishing it with some pictures I took while in Central Park a couple days ago.
