Dear readers and friends, the summer brought quite a few flea market excursions. One of my favorite things is to scour for treasures at flea markets and antique malls. I am always on the lookout for needlework items as well as unique flower frogs. My boys are also "hunters" Ever since they started watching Pickers on TV they are obsessed with flea marketing. These are some of the treasures that we came across.
Amber bowled flower frog set
Milk glass flower frog, rose embossed glass flower frog and a pink ceramic frog
The rose and pink were b-day gifts from my youngest sons
onyx glass frog and bowl set and a blue ceramic frog (a gift from my youngest)
carding paddles, antique oil can, wooden spindles and vintage trims ( one with music notes and the other with a kitchen theme -- too cute to pass up) My plan is to use the spindles for storing vintage laces and trims, and I am hoping to mount a needlework piece on the carding paddles.
I haven't been stitching a whole lot but hope to get back into it soon. I have done some halloween/fall stitching but can't share any of that yet as they are for exchanges.
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and to my Jewish friends L'Shana Tovah. May your New Year be blessed with sweetness.

Love, love, love all of your finds. The amber frog is beautiful and your pink one looks like one I have.
I just love all your finds. Just wish I could get out to find flower frogs. I just love the milk glass one. I am glad to see your post. I was thinking about you today... Hope you had a good weekend and some time to stitch...Have a wonderful week!
What great finds! I particularly like the trims! And you've got an amazing range of colors on the frogs (so far I've been resisting the frogs, but slowly I'm slipping!)
Great "prizes"!
I think those carding paddles look interesting can see some needlework mounted on that - look forward to seeing your exchanges

Wow such great finds xxx
Browsing stalls at a flea market is such fun and especially when you make a good find.
Wishing you a good week ahead.
Lovely finds Nataly! I hope that you are having a great fall!
Great finds!
Good for you! Always fun isn't it?
What fabulous finds! I love all your frogs - I've found a couple of the black onyx sets but they are usually a little more "modern" in appearance than the others. Love the paddles - they'll make perfect hornbooks!
Great treasures! I'm looking forward to seeing the finished paddles. I'm so impressed that your children go antiquing with you!
Nataly! I have the "twin" amber flower frog from my Grandma!! Don't you love that one? See my post from June 2nd and you'll see what I mean :)
My middle son and I had the best time scouring antique shops in the Outer Banks this summer--I do think the influence of all those antique hunters shows have revved up interest on all levels.
May your New Year be filled with every happiness!
Fabulous finds! I don't think I've ever seen lace trim like that before. The carding paddles are wonderful too and will make a great finish for your needlework.
Olá! Gostei muito de conhecer seu blog. Maravilhosos trabalhos. Um abraço.
