Uneven Evenweave!
Good Morning from steamy Massachusetts. I was wondering if anyone has run into this problem before. I am a little frustrated by the fact that I pulled some fabric from my stash to work on LHN August Sampler. I stitched the border for the design and it should be neat and square but it looked a little off. I counted and recounted my stitches 69x69. Ok then I measured, and low and behold it measures 5" x 4 1/2". What the heck! It can only be determined that the fabric, 28ct evenweave is not so even. I would love to hear from anyone who has experienced this.

I grew up in Oklahoma, so tornadoes are something I am used to. Those clouds were churning in circles which is why I got the camera out to see if I could capture a funnel or two on film before I had to run to the tornado closet under the stairs!
Bummer about your fabric...boooo.
I have not experienced that, but could it be that they sold you "evenweave" and it is not? I know that Linen can give me fits to no end :)
Thanks for stopping by and visiting my blog, and it's so nice to "meet" a fellow New Englander (you are the real New Englander, we in Ct just pretend :)) and stitchy friend :) It is still hot here at almost 11 pm!
Your blog is beautiful and I am now a happy follower.
Hugs

I have never had something like that occur! How disheartening! I hope you can figure out a way to make it work.
This happened to me with some 22 ct. Hardanger I bought from Michael's (I think it was Charles Craft.) Perhaps all hardanger is like that, but i don't think so. Needless to say, no more stitching ground from Michael's!
