This post is long over due. I recently have been a bit lucky and won a couple of giveaways. I also received a wonderful birthday gift and a RAK. First, I won this wonderful assortment of sampler charts from Theresa at
Willow Tree Pond. She sent me some fabulous stash builders and one of them is a MUST stitch now so I kitted it right up. Thanks for hosting this wonderful giveaway Theresa. You are extremely generous.
Next is a wonderful chart from Homespun Elegance. Sandra at
Plain and Fancy Merchant hosted a giveaway for a candle wrap kit. She offered the free chart on the same post and the giveaway was for the supplies to make the candle wrap. This will be a quick stitch and I am looking forward to wrapping my plain candles. I might find myself in a wrapping frenzy and will have to stitch one for each naked candle.
This birthday present comes from a wonderful penpal I have made through blogging. Her name is Nathalie and she is from France. We communicate through e-mail and she made me this wonderful piece of personalized embroidery. We both love ocean motifs and she created this one of a kind embroidery in a class that she took. Thank you Nathalie for thinking of me.
And if that weren't enough, I got this lovely surprise in my mailbox last week. Myra, at
Gr8dames Place gifted me with this wonderful package. It was wrapped so beautifully that I paused before opening it. Sometimes you just have to take the time to appreciate the little things. Inside was the most beautiful needlebook handcrafted by Myra. I quickly loaded all my stitching necessities into it, scissors, thread winder and favorite needles. It is securely tucked into my stitching bag and travels with me where ever I go. Thank you Myra.
On the stitching front, I have just completed another exchange piece and mailed it off today. Little else is being worked on in my stitching chair. As I write this post, I have 125 invites staring at me, waiting to be addressed in my finest (yeah right) calligraphy. I have compiled the guest list and now it's time to start writing. Bar Mitzvah count down begins. Only 8 short weeks away.
Thanks for stopping by! Happy Stitching!
