Little House Needlework finishes

In my previous post, I had said that I had a weekend of finishing.  Here are the ornaments that I finished for shop models.  Finishing can be such a process.  I don't have a designated area to do crafting so I have to set up a table, pull all the finishing stuff out (fabric, trims, stuffing, sewing machine, pins, glue, mat board etc)  and then get busy.  Sometimes that process can get in the way of creativity.  Do you ever find yourself thinking, oh I have the perfect fabric for that, or the perfect button for that?  And then, off you go into your stash hunting for it.  You know it's somewhere. In your mind, you know you put it away for safe keeping, but where!  Well, as you can see, a process.  Once that is done,  I have to haul it all back to where it came from.  That is the number one reason why I save many stitched things for a finishing day.  Here are the results.

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Stitching!

Your finishes are lovely! Finishing is something I dread with a passion. Love the stitching, hate the finishing. Blessings, Shirlee

Love all your finishes.
I didn't have my own craft area until one of the kids moved out. I use to sew and stuff on the dining room table and then move it off to eat.

All of your finishes are gorgeous. Especially love the fabric you used for Joy. I hate finishing things and like you have to pull it all out and then put it away again.

Cute finishes! I am the same way about finishing too. Right now, I am trying to find my bead box. Where did it go?! lol

Great finishing! I know exactly what you mean about finishing, I can never find what I know I have when I need. I save mine for a day of finishing too!

Your work is always stitched AND finished so beautifully, Nataly :) Love them all!!

I have no designated craft area either... My stuff is spread out in four rooms on two floors. I sure get my exercise when I'm finishing something :)

Your finishing is beautiful Nataly.
I try and do designated finishing time too, a bunch at once and then I can put my finishing "kit" up.
Happy Friday :)

Great finishing and I totally agree about the process which is why I'm in the middle of redoing my extra bedroom into a true craft room with working table and plenty of storage. I hope to get really organized when I put it all back together!

Fabulous finishes Nataly! I love your use of the jingle bells on Hallelujah.
Most of my finishes are done on my kitchen island since I don't have a designated area either. I really hate having to drag everything out. So many times I go through the process you described of looking for something. Someday I hope to find a craft table for use in my spare room.

Love your finishes!

I see the 'sewing basket' in the picture - I have a couple very similar to that. What do you use yours for? I haven't figured out what to do with mine yet :-)

They are all beautiful. I can understand how difficult it is when you haven't a permanent work area.

Wishing you a good weekend x

Love the finishes!!! :)
I have a spot for doing finishing but it's teeny tiny and usually requires me to pull the ironing board for some extra space to manage it. Grrrr.

I'm the same, I have a designated day to do a few finishes so I can spread all my craft stuff on my desk. I have to be in the right mood for it though, I can't just finish things whenever I want. These are gorgeous finishes! You must be so pleased. Best wishes.
